Second Saturdays is an extremely loved ministry of KCA. This is an opportunity for our church family to be the hands and feet of Jesus as we pour back into our community every second Saturday of the month. Every month we are tasked with a new assignment within our community, so it is always new and exciting! Please take a moment to sign up for the next Second Saturdays below. See you there!

April’s Second Saturday:

Art for All Nations

We will be heading back to AFAN (Art for All Nations) to help with any building and room needs. These could include clearing out rooms, painting, or small work projects needed in their building.

AFAN is a program and community of students being taught at various levels of the arts (drama, painting, dance, photography, etc).

Let’s go back and help this incredible community with their new space!

What you can bring: Gloves, cleaning supplies, basic tools, etc.

May’s Second Saturday:

Yard Clean Up

We will be taking the time to love on the “seasoned” members of our community.

A lot of people in the Longview/Kelso area, due to their age and lack of mobility, are no longer able to maintain their yards and the spaces in front of their homes. We want to help them by using this Second Saturday to take care of that for them.

Jesus teaches us to take care of widows, and even though not all of these neighbors have lost their spouses, they are still equally deserving of help!

What you can bring: Gloves, yard tools, strong effort, etc.
